Whenever you are a network administrator and need to obtain detailed information about each computer connected to the network or you are just a regular user who is curious about how a computer network works, Netcut can really help.

This Windows application can scan all the devices connected to a specific network and can display detailed information about each of them. The installation process can be completed without much effort, as it takes only a couple of clicks to get the program installed. Besides installing the actual application, you will also need to set up the installation for WinPcap, which is a plugin used by Netcut to scan a network.

After the program is installed and launched, it will immediately scan your entire network and display the IP address and hostname of each computer connected to it, including the MAC address. The program is designed to work with almost any kind of network adapter and it even supports machines with multiple adapters installed. By accessing the graphical toolbar, you will be able to find a certain IP address, using a simple search tool, search the MAC address for any network device and even find the computer manufactured, based on the MAC address.

Netcut also includes an option for testing the speed of your Internet connection. Still, this option and the one for displaying the manufacturer of a computer are displayed online, on the program's website.

Whenever the program is not in use, the user can easily minimize it to the system tray, for not cluttering the desktop.
